What did the chemotherapy say to Jazy's immune system? Out with the old, in with the new.

Welcome curious, caring people. Wondering how your Princess Jazy is doing? Well, your lucky day, I've started this blog to keep you guys updated. I'm just chilling in bed, watching some Food Network (yum!) & wide awake as an owl. Everyday is a new day. New things happen, meet new people and learn new things. Some days get quite boring, but there are always Camp Ooch people to keep me entertained. I bet all you readers are wondering "what's Camp Ooch?" Now it's your turn to learn something new! Okay so, Camp Oochigeas (short form Ooch) is an actual camp up in Muskoka only for childhood cancer patients. This camp is known to help kids meet other kids that have gone through similar hurdles in their life as they have, an experience of going to camp, and most of importantly HAVING FUN! After all, the two key things about being a kid is enjoying the outdoors and having fun. So, while you are staying inpatient and you are on the oncology ward, you get to be accompanied by these wonderful people that do everything from crafts to teaching how to play guitar. Enough jibber jabber from me, you came to this website to update yourself on how I'm doing. Well I'm currently in the unit 8B, which is the unit where they do all bone marrow/stem cell transplants. It's very quiet here, not as hectic as 8A was, got to get used to it. No nurses coming in and out, no fast pace walking in the hallways, just quiet for the patients to recover, I guess! This unit is isolated, so no visitors in the room, if wanted to visit, please call ahead of time so I myself can come out and see you. Wow, I just realized it's 12:11am and I'm still not that tired. No wonder the nurses always complain I sleep late..... Yesterday was Day 1 on the new unit, and if you wish to follow the very confusing Chemo Days, it was Day -10 which makes today Day 2; Day -9 (started first dose of chemo).Wait, technically today is Day 3; Day-8 and yesterday was Day 2;Day -9. I know confusing eh? If not, just follow along, you'll get it. NEVER SAY NEVER! On Day 0, I will be getting infused with the new stem cells! Hope this blog keeps everyone updated, interested
and I hope I remember to keep posting! TOGETHER WE CAN FIND A CURE!
